Main Building
The Main Building is the heart of Bayswater Village. It is centrally situated and comprises of Administrative offices, A Function Hall which also serves as a Chapel, A Lounge, Dining Room, Tea Room and a Library.
Frail Care unit
Our Frail Care Unit is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is run by qualified nursing sisters, nurses and care givers. There is also a semi-frail section of single and double rooms, with bathrooms.
Accommodation
We have a number of rooms, with bathrooms to hire and also for sale.
There are Bachelor and one bedroom flats available for hire. A number of cottages are for sale on Life-Right contracts.
Admin Office
The administrative offices where all the administrative work is done. Airtime and meal tickets can be purchased here as well as computer free access to skype, email and more are available to the residents.
Lounge / Reception area
Here the residents can meet friends or have appointments.
Tea room
Tea is enjoyed by all the residents from 10am in the mornings and 3pm in the afternoons in the tea room.
Dining room & kitchen
The Dining room is open to all the residents and their guests, on a ticket system. Our meals are specially planned for the Residents.
On special occasions eg Spring Day the residents are spoilt with a lovely lunch and a surprise.
Function hall
Situated in the Main Building, the Function Hall is used for Church Services, Special Events & Special Occasions, Birthday parties and various performances to entertain the residents.
The function Hall also serves as a Chapel.
Hair Dresser
There is a hairdressing salon on the premises, out-sourced and run by a professional hairdresser – Perms, cuts and sets are available to the residents.
Gardens
Of the residents and ladies of our ‘House Committee’ are responsible for our beautiful gardens. Fund-raising is done by the Ladies and proceeds go towards improving facilities at our Village.
Library
Donated by various sources, our library now has a large and diverse range of books all of which are freely available to the residents.
Tuck shop
A well-stocked Tuck Shop operates from Monday to Friday and is supported by the residents.
Security Services
Our Village is safe and secure operating with out-sourced 24 hour security services with access control.
Post Box
Post is collected and delivered 3 times a week from the Bayswater Postal Box at Preller Plein. It is then placed in the personal post niches located at the BWV office. Letters can be dropped off at the office, from where they will be posted.
