The Main Building is the heart of Bayswater Village. It is centrally situated and comprises of Administrative offices, A Conference centre, A Lounge, Dining Room Tea Room and a Library.
FRAIL CARE UNIT
Our Frail Care Unit is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is run by qualified nursing sisters, nurses and care givers. There is also a semi-frail section of single and double rooms, with bathrooms, to hire and also for sale.
ACCOMMODATION
We have a number of rooms, with bathrooms to hire and also for sale.
There are Bachelor and one bedroom flats available for hire. A number of cottages are for sale on Life-Right contracts.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
The administrative offices are where all the ever efficient administrative work is done. Wikus is the Manager and Delva the Treasurer while Eileen does all the PRO work.
LOUNGE / RECEPTION AREA
Here the residents can meet friends or have appointments that they would not want to take to their rooms.
TEA ROOM
Tea is enjoyed by all the residents at 10 o’clock every morning in the tea room where they can catch up on all the goings on..
DINING ROOM & KITCHEN
The Dining room is open to all the residents and their guests, on a ticket system. Our meals are specially planned for the Residents.
On special occasions eg Spring Day the residents were spoilt with a lovely lunch and a surprise.
CONFERENCE CENTRE
Situated in the Main Building, the Conference Centre is used for Church Services, Special Events & Special Occasions, Birthday parties and various performances to entertain the residents.
HAIRDRESSER
There is a hairdressing salon on the premises, out-sourced and run by a professional hairdresser - Perms, cuts and sets are available to the residents.
GARDENS
The ladies of our ‘House Committee’ are responsible for our beautiful gardens. Fund-raising is done by the Ladies and proceeds go towards improving facilities at our Village.
PENSION PAY-OUT POINT
The Village is a point for the Government Old Age Pension – we are visited monthly by the Department to renew and finalize payment of pensions.
LIBRARY
Our library books are from the City Library – that are exchanged bi-monthly. We also have a variety of donated books.
TUCK SHOP
A well-stocked Tuck Shop operates on a Wednesday morning and is supported by the residents.
SECURITY
Our Village is safe and secure operating with out-sourced 24 hour security services.
POST BOX
Post is collected and delivered daily by the Post Office to the post box on the premises – the post received is then places in the respective post boxes.
